Help Needed: Equipment Manager(s)

Our current equipment manager is stepping into a new role in the club and a replacement is needed. This is also a role that can be filled by a single person or by a couple people working together. Making loaner gear available to players is a cornerstone feature of our club, and one that makes the sport much more accessible to both new families and those with fewer resources. Duties involve coordinating who needs loaner gear, setting up times and places for kids to get the gear and collecting the gear at the end of the season. There is a reasonable amount of lugging bins of gear around at the beginning and end of the season and maintaining lists of who has what gear and what we gear we have in storage. Other duties such as buying replacement gear or equipment repair are negotiable. Several experienced volunteers are here to help you learn and you will have some autonomy to put your own systems in place if you choose. Sholax is a volunteer run organization. Without the hard work of many dedicated individuals we would not have the community that we do. We invite you to volunteer in some capacity to help keep us going. There are many opportunities from one time commitments like helping to organize kids on team picture day or setup/breakdown for an event, to ongoing support with coaching (we'll teach you how), working the scorer's table (we'll teach you how), being a team parent (helping to coordinate snacks or other stuff for kiddos), loaner gear management, or a board position. Notably most of our board members are parents of high school age kids (we started when they were younger, lol), so parents of younger kids are especially invited to join us and make your perspective heard.
